"This piece is part of my ongoing exploration of the quiet details found in nature. It captures the aloe plant up close—where soft curves, layered textures, and subtle shifts in blues and greens come into focus. Drawn in charcoal first, then layered with pastels, this painting took shape slowly over time. There’s a rhythm to that process—one that mirrors how nature builds itself in quiet, patient ways. Aloe is a plant I pass by almost every day, and this painting is a reminder of how much there is to notice when we slow down."
